El Baúl Studio is more than just a photography brand – it is a vision, a philosophy, and a creative studio where timeless stories come to life.

Founded by Geovany Herrera, a Professional Photographer with a specialization in Photography Project Management from La Fototeca and la Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala, the studio was born out of a passion for capturing moments that transcend the ordinary. As the creative force behind El Baúl Studio, Geovany combines technical mastery with artistic sensibility, bringing authenticity and elegance into every image, adding to his artistic foundation, he also holds a Master’s degree in Information Security, a background that strengthens his precision, discipline, and attention to detail—qualities that seamlessly flow into his work as a photographer and creative director.

El Baúl was born about 10 years ago, out of a passion for capturing moments that transcend the ordinary, and as a brand that blends technical mastery, creative direction, and a deep commitment to storytelling.

We have captured the energy of live music with legendary bands and artists such as Bohemia Suburbana, Alux Nahual, Gaby Moreno, and El Charro de Guatemala. We have also collaborated with renowned photographers and institutions including Andrés Asturias, Mariano Vadillo, La Fototeca, Festival GuatePhoto, and Fotoh Services.

Our lens has also explored the world of gastronomy, working with restaurants such as Il Cavalino, as well as lifestyle and portrait photography, including portraits on Monkey Business Gym.
